Another year of success has passed by, and we can look back at it with both joy and sadness. We would like to take the opportunity to thank all people who showed and loved their Sirocco dogs.

ROOKIES OF THE YEAR

Three out of four dogs from last years only litter, Charlie (S. Welcome To The Black Parade), Yippi (S. White Trash Circus) and Nemi (S. Heavens Hung In Black), debutated this year officially in the show rings. And they really made an impression! More about them further down in the summary.
We only had one litter 2010, proud parents are Eira (S. Walking On High Heels) and Frazze (NordCh IntCh Madness Armani), more about that litter in the Gallery and Previous Litters.

ANGEL OF THE YEAR

Sometimes life takes mysterious turns, and not always in the good direction. Missed and loved, Sirocco Nenya The Ring Of Water "Roffe". A huge thanks to Heli and Kjell that made his life wonderful!

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE YEAR

This years results have been totally amazing for our show team; Qita (Ch BIS BISS Nikita), Mozes (Ch Christmas Cup W-10 S. Sad Like Winter Leaves), Chibi (Ch BIS Vanitonia Rumor Has It) and the rookies Charlie (S. Welcome To The Black Parade) and Yippi (S. White Trash Circus). Due to limited showing both Qita, Mozes and Yippi accomplished great results. Qita shown 10 times, only in Sweden, Mozes shown only 3 times in Sweden and a couple of times abroad and Yippi only shown 7 times in Sweden.

Borås CCC's Summer Specialty: Qita repeated her result from last years specialty by becoming best bitch but this year she became BEST IN SHOW beating over 100 entered cresteds! Judge Harry Tast.

Piteå: Chibi gets the crowning CAC for her Swedish Championship, second try after her second birthday! She is also best best bitch and BOS. At the same time she became Latvian Champion as well! At the same show Charie and Yippi made their official debut, winning their junior classes with excellent and Charlie was also second best male!

Piteå: Out of 10 bitches in the best bitch competition we had three placed amongst the top five; Chibi 2:nd, Qita 3:d och Yippi 5:th. One more Sirocco bitch was amongst top ten, Bell (S. Black Spring Rising). Charlie was placed as fourth best male and we showed our first breeders group and got Hounor Prize.

Gällivare: Mozes becomes best male with CACIB and Chibi best bitch with CACIB. Mozes is Best Of Breed and Chibi Best Of Opposite Sex! Judge Francesco Cochetti.

Kemi, Finland: At his first show abroad Charlie wins the junior class with Excellent and becomes best male with CAC! Chibi is best bitch with CAC and new Finnish Champion! Chibi is BOB and Charlie BOS!

Vilnius, Lithuania: Mozes ends the year by becoming best champion male with Excellent, also best male with CAC, CACIB and the title CHRISTMAS CUP W-10! He is now also Lithuanian Champion!

Vilnius Lithuania INT "Christmas Cup 2010" 19:th of December, Judge Jurate Butkiene (LT)

What a smashing ending of the year! Hoping to get the qualifying CACIB for Chibi's (CH BIS Vanitonia Rumor Has It) INTCH i flew to Vilnius, Lithuania, to their two day international show. I came back with one CACIB but it was not Chibi, but Mozes (Ch S. Sad Like Winter Leaves) who won it. Mozes also can put LTCH and CHRISTMAS CUP W-10 in front of his name! Out of three shows this weekend he became best champion male at two! We are super proud over him! To next year both Chibi and Mozes have one CACIB each left to complete their international titles!

»»20/10-10- Sad news...

Yesterday we got a really sad mail from Heli Backlund, Pudervippans Cresteds Finland, owner of Sirocco Nenya The Ring Of Water "Roffe". Due to a severe injury in his back Roffe no longer walks this earth, there was nothing the vet could do to save him. Next week Roffe would have turned 4 years old. He was a wonderful dog to live with, happy and alert, a true joy to be with. We are incredible sad and send all our thoughts to Heli and Kjell, we know Roffe ment the world to them.

26/7-10- BOB & BOS again this month! Chibi made a hattrick! NEW FINCH!

Kemi Finland FKC 25:th of July, Judge Marja Talvitie (Finland)

Wow what a day! Two dogs entered and they took the lot! Charlie (S. Welcome To The Black Parade debuted in Finlnad by winning the junior class with Excellent and went best male with CAC! Chibi (Ch BIS Vanitonia Rumor Has It) also won her champion class with Excellent, went best bitch with CAC and became new Finish champion! In the Best Of Breed competition Chibi got her first finish BOB and Charlie went BOS! We are super proud of both of them! We did not stay for the finals.

This was Chibis third time as Best Bitch this month, judged by three different judges from three different countries. She is also shown in Finland only four times with the smashing results: BOB & CAC, BOS & CAC, CACIB & R-CAC, CACIB & R-CAC!

11/7-10- They did it again! Mozes BOB & Chibi BOS!

Gällivare SKC INT 10:th of July, Judge Francesco Cochetti, Italia

This was Mozes second Swedish show for 2010 and he could not have done it better! Champion class winner with Excellent and best male with CACIB! Chibi wanted to show that she could do it good as well and went on winning her champion class with Excellent and best bitch with CACIB! This was the fourth time in total and second time in Sweden that Mozes and Chibi had the pleasure to meet in the Best Of Breed competition. Mozes went on like train and was BOB and Chibi BOS! We are very proud and happy over them both and really grateful that the judge said how much he appreciated Mozes excellent size. We did not stay for the finals.

Mozes son Frost (S. Still Kickin' Ass) got a second place in the intermediate class with Excellent and Yippi (S. White Trash Circus) was placed as second as well in the junior class. Last weekends star Qita (CH BIS BISS Nkita) did not follow to this show in benefit for the younger ones.

5/7-10- BEST IN SHOW Chinese Crested Specialty MultiCh BIS Nikita!

Borås Chinese Crested Club Summer Specialty 3:d of July, Judge Harry Tast, Finland

She's a dream on four legs, both in the rings and outside, our wonderful Qita (Ch BIS Nikita). Last year she accomplished to become Best Bitch and Reserv BIS at the Crested Summer breed specialty, and that's huge in in many ways. But obviously Qita thought that "second place, first looser" wasn't her kind of melody. In the excrucating heat of 30 degrees and with over 100 entrered cresteds she repeated last years result by winning the big champion class with Excellent and then trotted all the way to best bitch as well. But she didn't stop there. Judge Mr Tast explained that she had stolen his heart the moment she flowed into the ring and handed her the Best In Show ribbon! We haven't the words to describe how proud and happy we are!

Charlie (S. Welcome To The Black Parade) was unplaced in the junior class and Mozes (S. Sad Like Winter Leaves) unplaced in the champion class. Chibi (Ch BIS Vanitonia Rumor Has It) was placed as fourth in the champion class with Excellent.

Charlie's (S. Welcome To The Black Parade) and Yippi's (S. White Trash Circus) official debut and they started with a bang! Charlie kicks the day of by beating eight other junior males and ends up as second best male. He also went BOB-Junior over his sister Yippi!

Another day with smashing results! Four dogs entered and all four placed amongst the top five! Out of ten Excellent awardes bitches we owned and showed three to placements amongst the top five! Our breeders group consisting of S. Welcome To The Black Parade, S. White Trash Circus, S. Trouble In My Eyes and S. Black Spring Rising was awarded Honour Prize!

26/4-10- Sirocco Heavens Hung In Black "Nemi" goes 2x Best Puppy Of Opposite!

Nemi (S. Heavens Hung In Black, litter sister to Charlie and Yippi) has been to two match shows, got honour prize and went BPOS at both! Judge was Hans Almgren, breed specialist, and Arvid Göransson. Congratulations to Nemi's owner Caroline Ruda!

One month, 4 shows and 4 different countries, that's how Mozes and Chibi roll. Mozes
(S. Sad Like Winter Leaves) won the champion class with Excellent and ended up as 2:nd best male with R-CACIB. Chibi (BIS Vanitonia Rumor Has It) was awarded the first place in a big open class with Exellent and was placed as 2:nd best bitch with R-CAC and CACIB!

»»31/3-10- Chibi & Mozes back from Malmö, Görlev (Denmark) & Riga (Latvia)

Malmö INT 20:th of March, Judge Agneta Kappers Sweden

This was our first show for 2010 and only Chibi (BIS Vanitonia Rumor Has It) where entered. She did a great job and where placed as number three in the open class with CQ/Excellent and later on 5:th best bitch.

Görlev KSS Denmark 21:th of March, Judge Bengt-Åke Bogren Sweden

This was Mozes (S. Sad Like Winter Leaves) first show in Denmark and he won the open class with CQ/Excellent and where placed as 3:d best male. Chibi repeted Mozes results by winning the bitch open class with CQ/Excellent and 3:d best bitch.

Riga INT LvW-10 Latvia 28:th of March, Judge Vija Klucinece Latvia

It was with mixed feelings we went to Riga because of the fact that they had changed the breed judge, but the results where better then expected. Mozes 2:nd in the champion class with CQ/Excellent and 4:th best male. Chibi won the open class with CQ/Excellent and was placed, with a minimum margin to the winner title, as 2:nd best bitch with CAC and R-CACIB!

*Science results
We got a mail from Theresa Mausberg, Veterinarian of the University of Berne of the Instituotion of Genetics, that took blood samples from Qita, Chibi and Mozes in Helsinki at the NordW-09 show. She took the samples for her studies to locate the gene that separates the hairless crested fom the powder puff. They have now discovered that locus and it showed that Qita, that's a powder puff, did not carry the 7 bp duplication thats necssesary for a hairless. Both Chibi and Mozes carried that 7bp duplication.

»»7/2-10 Best Puppy In Breed & Best Puppy Of Opposite Sex!

Charlie (S. Welcome To The Black Parade) and Yippi (S. White Trash Circus) went to their second puppy show ever and they where great in the show ring! Charlie BPIB and Yippi BPOS! We are very proud over the little ones.

»» 12/01-10 POWDER PUFF OF THE YEAR 2009!

*After the NordW- 09 show in Helsinki the three dogs above participated in a science project by leaving a blood sample each and some pictures. This project tries to find the gene that makes the Chinese Crested Dog hairless. Hopefully our contribution will help the scientists to make progress in this matter.
